Transitional Brights

Hi friends! Welcome back! All right guys, you know what time it is. We're about a week and a half away from September which means as far as I'm concerned, it's fall. I'm sure I don't need to reiterate how much I LOVE fall fashion so I'll spare you all the broken record, but I will say I am so, so excited to start wearing blazers and jeans again. This summer has been insanely busy, so I don't feel like I was able to put my best foot forward as far as posting summer looks, but I promise to do better for fall/winter. I'm usually the most motivated, fashion wise, in the fall months and this year is no different. I have so many great outfit ideas swirling in my head that I can't wait to share. Let's be honest, it's basically just going to be my usual uniform of oversized blazers, fitted layering pieces, and jeans. I have been into the wide leg trousers trend lately so I might sprinkle a little of that in there too. One summer trend that I plan on taking into fall is bright, saturated colors. I will definitely still be creating some neutral looks because that's just a given in the cooler months, but I'll also be sticking to my pinks and oranges as well.

Speaking of pinks and oranges, as we start to close out summer and start preparing for fall, transitional looks are the way to go. That's what I had in mind when I put together today's look. Much like the transition from winter to spring, the transition from summer to fall is pretty similar as far as fashion is concerned. It's definitely still too warm for long pants and heavy duty blazers, but a lightweight blazer with denim shorts makes you feel like you're stepping into autumn without feeling like you have to sweat to death in the process. This blazer is one of my absolute favorites! The bright pink color and the lightweight, almost linen, material is perfect for warmer weather. I also love the super oversized, flowy fit of it. I styled it with a bright orange bodysuit, my literal favorite shorts that I have worn about 100 times at this point, and some cute orange mules. I had absolutely nowhere to go when I wore this outfit so if you're reading this and you see me out in this exact look again, just let me live, okay?

All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
