Hi friends! Welcome back! Before we get into this look, which is probably my personal favorite since the Agent Scully look back in January, here’s a little life update. We’re moving to our dream apartment!! I cannot even contain my excitement. After over a year of stalking the website and thinking there’s no way we could ever live there, it’s happening! It’s bitter sweet leaving our current apartment because it’s the first place we lived in together. We made a lot of amazing memories here, but we are so excited to move on to bigger and better things. It’s going to be a crazy couple of weeks, but it will definitely all be worth it. Love this for us!

Okay, outfit time! Let’s talk about this top. I mean…I almost feel like I don’t need to explain myself because it speaks for itself, but I’m going to anyway. First of all, the coolest part is that it’s two separate pieces. The sleeves are separate from the crop top so if it’s a particularly hot day and you can‘t stand to have anything on your arms then you can leave the sleeves at home. Second, the crop top comes with adjustable thin straps that you can add if you prefer a little more support. I chose to wear mine strapless with the sleeves and I am still obsessed. My favorite part of the sleeves is that they can be worn up for a more modest look or off the shoulder if you’re feeling a little spicy. I styled this versatile top with my current favorite jeans, heeled sandals, and of course some fun accessories. Perfect for a summer brunch or date night! All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo

Hi friends! Welcome back! I took a bit of a break from blogging last week, mainly because it was gross out all weekend and I couldn’t bring myself to care much about what I had on. Luckily, I’m feeling motivated again so get ready for lots of fun summer looks, starting with this one. As we all know, because I won’t shut up about it, I am a casual girl all the way. However, this spring/summer, I have been seeing so many gorgeous dresses so I’ve made a conscious effort to incorporate some into my wardrobe. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved the white dress I wore on my birthday, so I set out to find more dresses that were just as flattering on me. Success!

I found this blue beauty on Zara’s website. I thought it would be a cute, easy dress to wear on really warm summer days. I wore it on a 90-degree day and it was perfect. Now that I’m looking at it again, it kind of reminds me of the dresses that nurses used to wear in the 40’s. If you’ve seen the tv show Ratched then you know what I’m talking about. I‘m not gonna lie, I’m into it even more now. Those nurse's outfits were cute! I styled it with bubble gum pink accessories and I felt like a human pack of Bubble Yum but in the most stylish way possible. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo

Hi friends! Welcome back! And just like that I've retreated back to my comfort zone. Wearing a dress was fun for a day, but denim will always have my heart. As important as it is to try new things and take risks (in life and in fashion), it's even more important to stay true to yourself. I know I've written about this a million times at this point but I just feel the need to remind you guys every now and then. Trends are fun, dressing up is fun, but nothing beats the feeling of being your true authentic self. A major part of my life revolves around fashion and I don't want to waste it trying to "keep up." I get down on myself sometimes because my style is pretty basic so I feel like I end up creating different versions of the same outfit. I never want to bore you guys, but I also don't want to create looks that I would never actually wear in real life for the sake of being interesting. What's actually interesting to me is how many ways you can style the same type of outfit and have it look different every time. Not to toot my own horn, but I feel like I'm sort of mastering that and I'm darn proud of it.

So all of a sudden it turned into summer in New Jersey and I'm loving it (for now). Throughout the summer months, I am 100% a shorts and t-shirt/tank top type of girl. I can't bear wearing anything more. If I can find a cute, everyday breezy dress then you might catch me in one of those here and there as well. As you all noticed, I went through a serious baseball cap phase this past fall/winter and that's not changing this summer either. The only difference is that I'll be swapping out my jeans for denim shorts instead. For this look I went with a graphic tee and my new favorite cap & sneakers. Weirdly, this is one of my favorite outfits I've worn in a while. Nothing beats comfy and cute. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo
