Jeans & A White Shirt Kinda Girl

whatjamloves

Welcome back lovies! This past Sunday we got a tiny taste of fall weather and I'm sure you all know how excited I was about it. I spent the whole week prior thinking about outfit ideas for this blog post and kept coming up with nothing. I realized creating transitional looks when it's still super hot out isn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. Saturday rolled around and I still hadn't thought of anything to wear that I felt was blog worthy. My anxiety started to kick in until *dramatic pause* I checked the weather for Sunday. 73 degrees and cloudy. Perfect! It was much easier for me to put together a look I felt good about knowing that I wasn't going to sweat to death if I wore long sleeves or jeans, so I wore both. Not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the summer if the heat continues but I'll deal with that later. These days, I choose to focus on the small wins when I can get them.

I had a general idea of what I was going to wear when I checked the weather on Saturday night, but I was too tired and lazy to actually try it on so I literally put this together about 30 mins before we left the house on Sunday. I have to say, I'm pretty proud of how it came out. White button downs are an absolute wardrobe staple. I prefer mine to be oversized (duh) so that I can wear them over jeans or even as a dress. For this look, I decided to tie it at the waist to create a fun "going out" look. Am I really going anywhere? No, but a girl can dream right? I styled this shirt with my new favorite pair of jeans from Levi's. Okay, I realize I call every pair of new jeans I get my favorites but I'm telling the truth every time. I have a lot of favorite pairs of jeans. We all know how difficult it is to find jeans that fit us how we want them to fit us, so when I find a pair that I love I obsess over them until I buy the next pair. It's a problem that I'm happy to have. Moving on...I finished off the look with a pair of black strappy heels, a mini black purse and a red lip to add a little spice. All outfit details are listed below! Until next time sugar plums. Tootles! Xoxo
