January Favorites

Hi friends! Welcome back! Is it just me or was January the LONGEST month ever? Anyway, we're shaking things up this week and ending the month with something a little different. I feel like I go through monthly phases of things I obsess over so I decided it might be fun to share some of those obsessions with you guys. So, basically, at the beginning of each month I'll share some of my most worn, must-have items from the previous month. It'll mostly be clothes and accessories because that's what 99% of my infatuations are, but I'll probably throw in some random items in there too every now and then as well. Okay then, let's get into my favs from this month!

COS coat (this coat comes in and out of stock so I would keep checking back), Zara Jacket (this one is low in stock, but here are similar options), pink coat, Thrifted coat:

It is no secret that I have been LIVING for oversized coats this winter. In my opinion, there is nothing more chic in the colder months than a good quality stylish coat. This winter, I feel like I have really stepped up my coat game and I have never been prouder of my winter wardrobe. Honestly, I love every single coat I own, but if I went through all of them we'd be here all day so I decided to go with the newest few. Two of these were Christmas presents from my hubs and mother-in-law, the pink one was a random lucky find after years of searching for the perfect pink coat, and the fourth is a thrifted find. Unfortunately, I can't link the thrifted coat but I urge you guys to check out your local thrift shops. I guarantee you'll find something just as good.

*side note*: I always size up at least 1, but usually 2 sizes in coats. I obviously LOVE a super oversized fit but more importantly I want to be able to wear as many layers as I please and still have a lot of room in the arms. I cannot deal with any form of tightness in the arms when it comes to coats, blazers & sweaters.

This sweater means everything to me. I have A LOT of sweaters and I love them all but this one is just the cream of the crop. This was a super random find on Instagram and as soon as I opened the packaging it became my favorite sweater ever. I'm already trying to figure out how I can get away with wearing it in the summer. Although it's a super bright color which might seem intimidating to style easily, you'd be surprised how many colors pair nicely with orange. To name a few: black, brown, white/cream/beige, pink (if you're feeling bold). Also, if you're like me and mostly wear denim, this will literally go with everything. It's still fully in stock and at a good price point so run, don't walk! I wear a M/L for a super cozy oversized fit.

Can you tell I'm obsessed with beanies right now? I just realized I have one on in almost every photo. Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I'm definitely one of those people that wears something non-stop until I'm onto the next obsession. I feel the same way about this beanie as I do about the orange sweater. I will say my opinion might be slightly biased because pink is my absolute favorite color and orange has become a close second in recent years, however, that doesn't take away from the quality of both of these items. This beanie is literally the best quality beanie I own, especially for such an inexpensive price. I already talked about it a couple posts ago, but I just have to reiterate how great it is, especially because it's fleece lined. Also, it comes in nearly every color you can think of so if bright pink's not your thing there are a bunch of other colors you can choose from!

Last, but certainly not least, is one of the most coveted items in every fashion girl's wardrobe right now. The infamous Boston Birkenstocks. I scoured the internet for months trying to get my hands on a pair of these but they were sold out everywhere. Leave it to my wonderful husband to find and purchase them for me for Christmas. I have a pair of the Arizona sandals for the summer but I wanted these to wear with thick socks in the fall/winter/early spring and they are perfect! I definitely understand why stores couldn't manage to keep them in stock.

Okay guys, that's all for January! Stay tuned for my February favorites at the beginning of next month. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
