Hi friends! Welcome back and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope everyone had an amazing time ringing in the new year, whether you were out partying or at home snuggling up with your loved ones on the couch (me). I don't want to jinx it, but for whatever reason I have such a great feeling about 2023. Normally, I don't really feel anything at the start of the new year but, this year, all of a sudden I feel a surge of positivity, motivation, excitement & hope. Without getting into details, the last couple years have been extremely tough for me mentally but I'm looking forward to putting all of that behind me and starting fresh. Don't get me wrong, stress and anxiety aside, 2022 blessed me with some of the greatest, happiest and most unforgettable memories of my life. Now I'm ready to make even more incredible memories and reach for the stars in this new year!
As far as my style goes, one thing I'm looking forward to the most this year is getting back into wearing bright, fun, vibrant colors. For whatever reason, the fall months make me gravitate towards neutrals and then as soon as January 1st rolls around I'm itching to bring out my pinks, purples, and (as you can see above) oranges. I got this sweater in early December and I've been dying to wear it ever since. I've really been into oversized cable knit sweaters this fall/winter and this baby is no exception. The weather here has been bizarrely warm these last few days so I felt like this was the perfect opportunity to showcase this sweater since I didn't have to wear a coat over it. I styled it with jeans (as always) and cream accessories. The loafers with socks combo is a bit different for me, but I'm into it! Get ready for a lot more color and experimenting to come.
