An Old Favorite

whatjamloves

Hi friends! Welcome back! My favorite part of this journey I'm on to shop more in my closet and buy less, is finding old favorites buried in the back of my closet. My husband got me this coat a few Christmases ago and I love it just as much to this day. The herringbone pattern is a fun alternative to your everyday black wool coat, for days where you're feeling a little extra spunky. Everything I'm wearing are pieces I've had for at least several months and a lot of them are items I wear repeatedly. This sweatshirt is part of the set I wore a few weeks ago , these jeans are one of my trusted Levi's, and these boots (purchased several months ago) have been my most worn boots this winter, and these sunglasses are several years old. Moral of the story, you can create as many outfits you want using the items you already own, even the pieces you feel like you constantly wear. You bought these pieces because you liked them, so you might as well wear them as much as you can. This is why it's important to be intentional when shopping, as opposed to making a bunch of trendy impulse purchases that you'll be sick of after wearing once or twice if you even ever wear them at all. Timeless pieces that you know you'll reach for year after year will save you when you're stuck and can't figure out what to wear.
