Hi friends! Welcome back! You know that wonderful feeling when you order something and it takes forever to get delivered and then when it finally does it's everything you dreamed of so the anxiety you felt from waiting feels so worth it? Well, that was definitely me when this vest arrived. I know I've mentioned this before, but I'm usually not much of a vest type of girl. Not because I don't like them (I actually love them), but because I normally find them to be a bit impractical. Much like how I felt about the sweaters and shorts combo, I just feel like if it's cold enough for a vest then I might as well wear a full jacket (because my arms get cold easily) and if it's warm enough that I don't need a full jacket then I might as well skip the whole thing all together. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. To quote the beautiful and wise Selena Gomez, "the heart wants what it wants" and when I spotted this beauty, my heart wanted it...BAD. I now own two vests and both of them are some of my favorite items in my wardrobe. Life is funny like that. You can spend your whole life feeling one way about something and then all of a sudden your mind does a complete 180.
Ever since last year, when I saw the gorgeous Isabel Marant vest all over social media and I felt the same way I do when I spot a beautiful oversized blazer, I knew I needed one for myself. You guys KNOW how I feel about my oversized blazers. Unfortunately for me, I do not have Isabel Marant funds but, luckily, a lot of dupes were floating around from other brands that I could afford. By the time I decided I wanted to purchase one, it was winter and too cold for it to make sense to purchase one so I simply forgot about it. Fast forward to this year and baby they are BACK! I didn't hesitate to purchase one as soon as I found one that fit my criteria and this was it. I sized up to the largest size to get the full oversized Isabel Marant vibe and it is absolutely perfect. I styled it with jeans, a turtleneck and high top converse and I loved how it all turned out.
