Vintage Brown Leather (Kinda)
Hi friends! Welcome back! In last week's post I talked about my new favorite color of the season being brown. I wasn't kidding. In the last month I have purchased two different brown leather jackets (including the one in this post) and a brown cardigan. I've noticed that my obsession doesn't extend to every single item of clothing. It seems to be mainly sweaters/cardigans and outerwear that I'm drawn to. There's something about jackets (especially leather) in the color brown that is just so chic to me. If we want to get very specific, when it comes to brown leather jackets, I LOVE the ones that have a vintage, kind of worn out, look to them.
As I'm sure we've all seen, if you've been on the hunt for a leather jacket, the cost of real leather has gotten so expensive that it seems almost impossible to afford unless you're rich. Luckily, there are so many gorgeous pre-loved real leather jackets you can find on eBay, Poshmark, and your local thrift stores. I snagged this beauty from eBay for around $40 (including shipping) last spring and it's in perfect vintage condition. Additionally, there are endless amounts of vintage style faux leather jackets out there that are such great quality, and you won't be able to tell the difference. The one I'm wearing in this post is faux leather and honestly, it rivals some of the real leather jackets I've seen, in my humble opinion. The only difference is that it's really light weight, which is perfect for early fall/early spring. I'll link this jacket, as well as some other really nice faux leather brown jackets, below. And, of course, I'll link the rest of my outfit below as well. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
