Two-In-One Chunkiness

Hi friends! Welcome back! Hope everyone had a great weekend and is off to a great start for the week. Our weekend was nice and relaxing. What made it even better was that the weather finally started to feel like fall which meant I could finally bring out these beautiful boots. I'm usually someone who mentally prepares my "shoot day" outfits throughout the week and then I just wing it on the day of and hope it actually looks good on my body. Sometimes it works out perfectly, other times, not so much. The "not so much" times can be pretty frustrating, so I'm trying to be better at planning out and trying on blog outfits for the whole month at the beginning of each month. This month has been pretty tricky because I am completely done with summer and only focusing on fall looks, however it's still getting close to 80 degrees some days. Another issue I found myself facing is the fact that most of my outfits are based on inspiration I saved on Pinterest or Instagram. As much as I love recreating looks I admire, the harsh reality is that sometimes what looks amazing on one person just will not look good on everyone. Literally half of the looks I had planned out looked absolutely horrendous on me and there was no way to fix them so I basically had to start from scratch. We'll see how the rest of the month goes, but at least I love how this particular look turned out.

Whenever I wear any dress of any sort, I feel the need to make a big deal about it because as you very well know by now, I am not a huge fan of dresses. It's not that I don't like them, it's more that I just don't like to wear them. I don't usually feel confident in them for whatever reason. Honestly, I don't really feel confident in anything other than jeans. It is, however, important for me to step out of my comfort zone every now and then so here we are. This is actually a sweater that I bought with the intention of wearing it as an oversized chunky sweater, but when it arrived it fit very much like a dress. Win win for me. Who doesn't love a two-in-one item? I recently bought these gorgeous chocolate brown knee high boots and was waiting for the perfect look to style them with. Sweater dresses have been trending this season so during my failed planning attempts I thought of this look and thankfully this one came out super cute. I will more than likely be shamelessly repeating this exact outfit on Thanksgiving. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
