Summer Tease

Hi friends! Welcome back! I know it's a little early to bring out the t-shirt and shorts looks already, but we had an abnormally warm day this past Saturday and, coincidentally, I also just bought a new pair of shorts that I was excited about so, naturally, I just had to wear them. I feel like this year, more than ever, I am so beyond excited for the weather to start getting warmer. It was such a long and miserable winter that I'm honestly starting to reconsider how much I actually love the cold weather. I will never be a fan of scorching hot temps, but I feel like as I get older I am slowly starting to crave warmer days more. Maybe it's because of how weird things are in the world right now, there's just something about getting out of the house and enjoying the outdoors that makes me feel so much joy these days. Dining al fresco, walks in the park, picnics, pools, bbqs, beaches, I mean...I cannot think of a better life than being able to do those things all the time.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on that. Now, back to my outfit. I just got these shorts last week and, while I will admit they are a bit pricey for shorts, I just know I'm going to wear these to death all summer. The cost per wear is going to bring these babies down to the negatives. Ladies, if you're not a huge fan of jeans/denim shorts because of the discomfort in the waist, I want to introduce you to drawstring denim. It is life changing. It's almost like wearing sweatpants. Trust me on this. I styled them here with an oversized tee, tennis-style sneakers, & some pink accessories. A very me outfit, if I've ever seen one.
