Hi friends! Welcome back! In typical New Jersey fashion, the weather has basically gone from winter to summer with only about a day or two of spring in between. It was 80 degrees today and my brain said, "Bring out the shorts girl. It's time." One of the things I look forward to the most when it starts getting warmer is wearing shorts. I normally tend to stick to denim shorts, but I have been very into the trending short sets lately. I ordered this one back in the fall but I haven't been able to wear it because it started to get cold as soon as I purchased it. Needless to say, I couldn't wait until it got warm enough for me to take this set out for a spin. Today was that day.
I started noticing a lot of influencers wearing short sets last summer and I wasn't sure how I felt about them at first. By the time I decided I loved them and purchased one of my own, summer was over. Thankfully, the trend seems to be here to stay, at least for this summer, and I'm here for it. I'm sure we can all agree that when it comes to dressing for summer, we want to be stylish, but we also want easy and breathable as well. In my last blog post, I talked about linen being your best friend during the summer months. The same can be said about cotton. You all know how much I love the easiness of throwing on a 100% cotton poplin shirt in the spring/summer, but having matching shorts too? Game changer.
