Spring In January

Welcome back mis amigos! Let's just get right into the title of this post. For anyone who lives in the New York/New Jersey area, I think I speak for all of us when I say that the weather last weekend was bewildering to say the least. It was literally 65 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. Not that I would ever complain about not have to lug around a heavy coat all day, but I've always loved the idea of having 4 separate seasons. I just want each one to feel the way it's supposed to. Also, I’m just going to be honest here, I got a super cute pair of winter hiking boots for Christmas that I’ve been dying to wear and this weather isn't allowing me to do that. Cut it out Mother Nature!

So last Saturday, Jason and I went to a cute little town called Summit, NJ. Can you tell that visiting "cute little towns" is our thing? We had a delicious brunch at a restaurant called The Committed Pig and then walked around for a bit before heading back home. I've always been into the "comfy chic" look, but lately I’ve developed an obsession with styling hoodies. I recently bought this one from H&M and I will def. be living in it the rest of the winter. I love that the hood doesn't have any strings which makes for a more polished look. I styled it with a gingham/houndstooth blazer, skinny jeans and my go-to sock booties. Stay tuned for more hoodie looks because this love affair has only just begun. All outfit links (or similar) are listed below. Tootles sugar plums!
