Hi friends! Welcome back my social distancing series! Seriously, I can’t believe this is what my blog has turned into. Honestly, I was pretty much already social distancing for these shoots before the pandemic because I’m really shy about people looking at me, but having to go so far out of our way to find secluded areas is getting old. How am I supposed to work on being more comfortable taking pictures around people if I can’t be around people? It’s called exposure therapy and I need it. Anyway, let's get into these fun outfits!
Memorial Day was a wee bit different for everyone this year but I strongly believe that you can create your own fun no matter what the circumstances. Styling and wearing cute outfits (even if it's just for 10 mins) is my idea of fun so that's exactly what we did (along with stuffing our face with grilled burgers of course). If you've been following along on my Instagram account then you saw the flat lay version of the pink blazer outfit last week. I was planning on wearing it for date night when restaurants open up again but I have absolutely no patience when I'm excited about something. I am beyond obsessed with this blazer. It's an oversized fit with bold padded shoulders and obviously the color is a dream. These shorts are also a new favorite and will be worn to death all summer long. You can roll them up to make them shorter or unroll them so they sit right at the mid-thigh area (I am about 5'3 for reference). I finished off the outfit with a pair of cute strappy heeled sandals. In addition to the date night look, I thought it would be a fun creative challenge to do a daytime version wearing the same shorts. So, I paired them with a cool tie dye tee and my go-to white sneakers. I styled both looks with sunglasses, a chunky gold chain necklace and gold buckle belt.
