Running Errands in Style

whatjamloves

Hi friends! Welcome back! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving break. I certainly did. Last year Jason and I ended up spending Thanksgiving on our own because of the pandemic. This year we were able to have a nice dinner with some of our immediate family and it was so lovely. The rest of the weekend was really nice and relaxing as well. We enjoyed every bit of it. It's bizarre to me that even though I'm not working currently, I feel very much like it's my first day back to work after a holiday break. I feel so disoriented and almost like I don't know where to begin to get my life back on track. It's like I forgot how to blog even though my last post was just last week. You guys know what I'm talking about. Thankfully, aside from that weird feeling, this has been a very productive Monday so far. I somehow managed to get it together and start typing this so I'm proud of that.

It's been a while since I put together a "chic soccer mom" look. As I'm sure you all have noticed, I have been very focused on coat styling this season. I've shown some nicer "date night" looks and some more casual daytime looks. What I haven't done yet is an outfit for simply just running errands. I feel like this is a great look to showcase just how much a coat can make your whole outfit. Without the coat this is just a sweatshirt with leggings and sneakers. Boring. With the coat (and a couple of accessories of course) you're probably one of the best dressed women in the grocery store. Speaking of accessories, I found this cool trick on Pinterest where someone wore their sweater as a scarf (not the sweater draped over your coat situation, but an actual scarf) so I decided to try it out for myself and I loved it. Also, what is it about high socks with leggings and sneakers that looks so stylish? I'm not sure when ankle socks stopped being the sock of choice but I'm here for all of the high socks and will only be wearing my legging/sneaker combos like this until further notice. Anyway, all outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
