Hi friends! Welcome back and happy February! I know January is always a long month but wow! This year it was truly never ending. I never thought about this before, but if I had to pick a least favorite month it would definitely be January. It's just one unbelievably long month of stress and anxiety as we put pressure on ourselves to "start the new year off strong." I don't mean to sound so pessimistic. All I really mean to say is that I'm just really excited to finally be into a new month. You know what else I'm really excited about? This outfit.
Let's talk about puffer coats. Prior to this year, I wasn't really a big fan of puffers. I felt like they were just too bulky and awkward to style, for me at least. I am not sure what I was thinking because all of a sudden I am obsessed with them. I decided I was done shopping for winter items back in December, but I recently saw this puffer on an influencer and I just HAD to have it. I had been eyeing puffers since the fall and I even saw some that I loved but for some reason just could not pull the trigger on. When I laid my eyes on this one, I knew why it didn't work out with any of the others. This was the one. One more winter coat can't hurt right? I think the faux leather material and the hooded high collar just make this one look so much more luxe than any of the others I've seen. It's a gorgeous statement item that will add an effortless "chic-ness" to any look. It also has an adjustable elastic draw string at the bottom, which creates a really flattering fit. Random thought, but was anyone else ever a "leggings are not pants" kind of girl? Come on, don't lie. I know I have been very guilty of judging women who wore leggings with a top that didn't cover their bums. I just want to apologize to those women because here I am doing exactly that and I absolutely love how this look turned out. Oh also, if you're wondering why I have on two different sunglasses, it's because I couldn't decide which pair went better with this outfit so I just wore them both.
