Pinterest Recreation:Fall Edition-Pt. 1

The recreation:

Hi friends! Welcome back! Okay, we're really switching things up around here. I've been seeing a trend going around on social media where influencers recreate different looks they've seen on Pinterest. I'm not usually one to jump on bandwagons because I find that it distracts my from my own ideas and then I end up feeling a little lost and overwhelmed so I just try to avoid them all together. However, I realized that most of my outfits are basically my version of looks I've seen on Instagram or Pinterest that I love. So, in a way, I've already kind of been doing the whole recreation thing since the beginning of my blogging journey anyway. If you remember last week's post, I shared some of my favorite trends of the season with some photo examples included. Most of those photos are from Pinterest and most of them are looks that I have been dying to put my own spin on, so that's exactly what I'm going to do (focusing mainly on 90s minimalism because that's my whole vibe).

So for this week's recreation, since it's still pretty warm out, I went with a look that could work for both a mild summer day and also a slightly cooler fall day. I've always envied the fashion girls who can pull off a full baggy outfit and look chic while doing it. It's a look that I've strived to pull off myself but steered clear of because I assumed I would look like a potato due to my height. The girls who look the best in these outfits seem to all be 5'9 or taller so my 5'3 self thought there was no way. As you can see, I finally decided to face my fears and believe in myself and honestly, I think I nailed it. These are all items I already had in my closet and I am so beyond happy with how it turned out. The moral of this story is this: don't sell yourself short. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
