Hi friends! Welcome back! We officially have real life engagement photos! I cannot even believe it. It's really happening. This time next year I will be a wife!! I posted a few sneak peak photos on social media last week but I was waiting until we got the full gallery to give you guys a proper look at our engagement shoot. There were almost 800 photos to choose from and every single one was incredible. Needless to say, narrowing it down for this post was a doozy, but I did manage to pick a solid 60 photos that I think will give you guys the right amount of insight into how fun this shoot was. For those of you who don't know, we are getting married on July 15, 2022. Only 8 months away! We were originally going to skip the whole engagement shoot thing because we just felt like it wasn't necessary. One of my college besties is a wedding photographer, and not only that, but she is the literally BEST at what she does. If she wasn't going to be one of my bridesmaids, we wouldn't have hesitated to have her as our wedding photographer. Luckily, she convinced us to let her do our engagement photos and thank goodness she did because WOW. I don't even know what we were thinking. I couldn't be happier with how these turned out. We would have definitely regretted it if we decided to skip it. Ahh I am soo excited! I cannot wait to marry my soul mate and best friend!
This clearly isn't much of an outfit post, but I did make sure to pick out stylish outfits for us because I knew it would end up on my blog and also our save-the-dates. We went with a fall theme for this shoot and chose a place that was significant to us. As you know by now, fall is is probably my favorite season for fashion reasons, but it is also our favorite season for activities. We chose the Fort Lee Historic Park because it was one of the places we discovered when we were trying to find cool places to walk during the height of the pandemic and we instantly fell in love. The views of the George Washington Bridge and NYC are incredible. When we first met, we found out that we both lived in NJ and worked in the city so we spent a lot of our time going places that were either in the city or right on the border of NJ and the city. This location showcased that perfectly. All of the fall leaves made it even more amazing. You can read more about our story and see more pics from our session on Jen's blog. I'll link that below, as well as mine and Jason's outfit details. Everything Jason's wearing is old so I'll do my best to find similar items for you guys. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
