Hi friends! Welcome back! I know the summer lovers don't wanna hear this, but August has flown by and we're only about a week away from September which means I am very much itching for fall fashion. Jason and I spent last weekend at our favorite little getaway resort, Crystal Springs. I always check the weather before I leave the house, especially if I'm going on any sort of trip so that I'm prepared with the right clothes. The temperatures were around 75-80 degrees with cooler temps in the evening which I assumed would feel more like early fall and I was right! I packed this orange fitted cardigan to wear with jeans for dinner one of the nights and it was perfect for the weather. I'm even more excited for cooler days now!
Since it's still technically summer and I don't want to be too obnoxious about fall yet, I thought this cardigan would be a cute transitional, in-between piece. From what I've seen, it seems like fitted sweaters & cardigans are going to be a big trend this fall and I am here for it. I love oversized knitwear and that's always going to be my go-to, but it's nice to switch things up and opt for a more fitted look every now and then, especially when you're going for a more put together "going out" look. In this case, we were going to dinner so this cardigan was a great option for that. I definitely plan on taking looks like this into the fall and winter. Of course, I would swap out the sandals for heeled boots and add a coat/jacket as it gets colder. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
