Olive & Snake Print

whatjamloves

Hi lovies! Welcome back! It's so fascinating to me how much our styles change as we grow up. I'm noticing now more than ever how much my style has evolved just in the last few years. I'm focusing a lot less on items that are too trendy, especially when it comes to bright colors & prints. I try not to get too caught up in the "is anyone still wearing this?" of it all because it's important to stay true to yourself in life and in fashion. That being said, I do find that when it comes to certain colors or prints, I'm over them after a season. So, instead of buying pieces that I'll only wear once or twice, I'm investing in staple pieces that I can wear over and over for years to come. I've mentioned this in a previous blog post but I wanted to talk more about it today because this outfit is a good example of it. Hmm...that just gave me a great idea for a future post. Stay tuned!

As you all very well know, oversized blazers are in my top 5 all-time favorite articles of clothing. They MUST be oversized. There's just something about my small frame being slightly swallowed in a big jacket/blazer that I absolutely love. I saw this blazer on one of my favorite influencers and realized I don't own an olive colored blazer. Naturally, I decided I needed one and impulse bought this one. As always, no regrets. The color and feel of this blazer is amazing. It's the exact olive color that you see in these pictures and it's a thick, kind of heavy material so it will be great for the colder months ahead. Olive and black is such a chic color combo in my opinion. I decided to throw on a pair of snake print boots (one of the only prints I love) to add a little pizazz to the look. I'm proud of myself for thinking of a way to use the word pizazz in a post. All outfit details (or similar) are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
