It's Thrifted: Part 4
Hi friends! Welcome back! We're officially in the last full month of winter and while I love the colder weather, this winter has been disappointing for me (due to the lack of snow we've had) so I am fully embracing warmer days ahead. As much as I love fall/winter fashion, I am so beyond ready for longer days and spending more time outside. In the meantime, I'm taking full advantage of all of my winter wardrobe favs while I still can. Like this coat for example.
This is the last and final coat that I found during my thrifting trip a couple months back. I didn't own any long brown coats prior to this one so when I spotted it, I didn't hesitate to add it to my pile. The color, length, and, of course, the oversized-ness of it is perfection. I also love that the buttons are brown as well. Random side note* I recently realized that I am not a fan of coats with contrasting buttons. For example, if the coat is brown, the buttons need to be brown too. I feel like the uniformity makes the piece much easier to style with other colors. Anyway, another major reason I got this coat is because I noticed it doesn't have belt loops but it came with a matching belt (not pictured). I loved this because if you choose to wear it without the belt, you don't have to deal with the unsightly belt loops throwing off your outfit. I styled it with a look I've been wearing literally all winter which consists of an oversized sweater, jeans and boots. It's such an easy, warm and stylish look you can throw together for multiple occasions. Now guys, if I haven't convinced you to check out your local thrift shops yet...I mean really. What are we even doing here? Just trust me on this. As always, all outfit details (or similar) are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
