Hi friends! Welcome back! As promised, I'm back this week with the second look from our little anniversary trip. This is what I wore for dinner on the night of our actual anniversary. As you all very well know, it takes a very special occasion to get me in a dress and what's more special than an anniversary, right? When it comes to dresses I feel comfortable in, it has to be flattering in the tummy area and flattering for the girls up top as well. Bonus points if there's a thigh slit! This dress checked all those boxes.
Okay, story time. Since I struggle so much with dresses and I didn't have a lot of time to buy one before we had to leave for our trip, I decided to go shopping in-store. I figured I would have more luck finding a dress I liked if I tried on a bunch in person instead of ordering online and hoping for the best. Fail. Big time fail. I tried on about 10-12 different dresses and hated every single one so I went home empty handed. I almost gave up completely but then I got home and decided to check the Zara website one more time thinking it would be easier to see what they had than it would be in the store. It was sale season and if anyone has ever been in a Zara store during their sales you know you need an insane amount of patience to find anything in there. I don't have it. Anyway, luckily I was right and I found this beauty on the website! I immediately ordered it and it fit me like a dream. I love the little embroidered flowers all over. The back is beautiful too (which I, of course, forgot to take a photo of). I styled it with a simple pair of black heeled sandals and it was the perfect pretty, dainty look for a nice dinner on the beach with my love!
