Hi friends! Welcome back and Happy Holidays! I am still coming down from the Christmas/holiday high. This was the first year that we were able to celebrate Christmas as a family in a normal setting since 2019 and it was such a wonderful time. It was also my mom's birthday and she was so happy to be around everyone which was the best gift of all. Okay, speaking of gifts, I'm not going to lie, one of my favorite parts of Christmas is receiving presents. It was my favorite part as a kid and nothing has changed in my adult years. I know they say that gifts aren't what's important, but I believe that you can enjoy spending time with loved ones and also enjoy opening gifts at the same time. You don't have to act like you don't care about gifts to prove that you also care about people. You know what's in your heart and that's all that matters.
Anyway, now that I've gotten my lecture out of the way let's get into this look which features...drum roll please...some of the gifts I got this year! I have been eyeing both this jacket and sweater for a while. Lucky for me, I have the BEST mother and sister-in-law in the world who so kindly gifted me with these gorgeous pieces on Christmas. As you can see I could not wait to style them. I've been living in oversized sweaters and my loose fit custom Levi's all fall and I plan to continue to do that all winter as well. There's just something about a baggy, but not TOO baggy, outfit that's so chic to me. I sized up to a medium in both the jacket and sweater and together they created the perfect "cool girl" look. I felt like I belonged in Top Gun.
I also just want to acknowledge that this will be my last post of the year, but not to worry. I'll be back next year (next week lol) with more fun looks! I've been feeling the itch to bring some color back into my looks ever since I brought the neon pink beanie out, so stay tuned for that! Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
