Hi friends! Welcome back! This week's outfit features my favorite summer trend: Bermuda shorts. I remember when Bermudas were trending back when I was a teenager and I absolutely hated it. Now, in my 30s I am living for them. Honestly, I feel like it might be less an age thing and more so that these new versions of Bermuda shorts are a lot more chic and stylish than the version adults were wearing when I was a kid. Or am I just delusional and making up excuses because I don't want to accept that I've turned into the adults I used to judge? Either way I am very much obsessed with them now, specifically, denim Bermuda shorts (shocker) and even more specifically, loose fit denim Bermuda shorts (double shocker).
In the summertime, I swap out my beloved jeans for my equally beloved denim shorts and each summer I find the hem of my shorts getting longer and longer. We are basically at knee length at this point and I love this for me! I have been seeing so many cute pairs of longer length shorts floating around and I want to buy them all. I love that you can easily dress them up for dinner/a night out or down for a casual daytime look. I went with the former for this look.
One of the best feelings is randomly finding an item of clothing you forgot you have and love when you're looking for something to wear. I wanted to style these jeans with something other than a white tee/tank for a change and when I spotted this cute little top from Zara in my closet, I got so excited. I've been loving pink with silver accessories lately so I put on this new belt I got from Madewell recently along with some silver jewelry and my go-to silver heels. File this look under "favorite summer outfits to date". All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
