Hi friends! Welcome back! I'm back with one of my favorite looks of all time. It's a tried and true combo that's guaranteed to take your casual look to the next level. The Canadian Tuxedo (or more commonly called, "denim on denim"). I've styled different variations of this look in the past, but this time I decided to go full-on soccer mom with it. I've realized that in the spring and summer months, my go-to look tends to be what I call "stylish soccer mom." There's just something about jeans, a tee/tank and a baseball cap that's effortlessly chic to me. Whether you're running quick errands, meeting a friend for lunch, shopping, going out for mid-day drinks, or literally going to a soccer game, you'll not only be appropriately dressed, but also super fashionable with minimal effort. You can't beat that.
I styled this denim jacket a couple weeks ago with a pair of grey trousers to show how you can make an office look more casual. This week, I wanted to go full-on casual so I styled it with my new favorite 501 original Levi's, Converse, and some basic accessories. My current lifestyle doesn't require me to wear anything fancy most of the time, so looks like these are what I'm the most drawn to. Honestly, even if I did have a lot of extravagant events to go to, I would still be drawn to jeans. It's a bizarre obsession that I've had since I was in high school. I've learned to stop trying to fight it. If you ask me, denim should be acceptable everywhere, except maybe weddings and galas. Otherwise, what does it matter, you know? Anyway, that's all from me today. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
