Hi friends! Welcome back! I know I say this about a lot of my outfits but this one is definitely one of my favorites. It was one of those looks where I knew there was one specific piece I wanted to style (in this case it was the jacket, but we'll get into that in a sec) so I had to build a look around that. Sometimes that works out great, and other times the outfit ends up being a complete disaster. Luckily, this look worked out perfectly!
Okay, let's talk about my new favorite piece in my closet. As you all know, I have been a big advocate of thrifting/shopping second hand when it comes to purchasing items like leather jackets. Recently, I started following an account on Instagram, called 59 Eastfield Vintage, that sources the most gorgeous vintage pieces ranging from leather jackets to Ralph Lauren sweaters/shirts to jewelry, and so much more. I was on the hunt for an oversized (duh) black leather jacket that was more of a straight cut and less of a bomber. I found some really beautiful ones, but they were all $500-$600 and like...absolutely not. I searched eBay and found some great ones but I still wasn't getting the "omg this is it" feeling. Then 59 Eastfield dropped a bunch of new vintage leather jackets and, not to be dramatic but, I saw this one and my heart stopped. I showed it to my husband who then immediately purchased it for me for Valentine's Day. I mean, could I even be any luckier?
Anyway, I knew I wanted to create a look around this jacket, but it was freezing outside so I threw on a bunch of layers, and this was the result! Was I still freezing? Absolutely. Was it worth it? 100%. Catch me in this jacket non-stop while I manifest spring. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
