Corporate Casual

Hi friends! Welcome back! Well, it's that time of year again. You know what I'm talking about. Transitional seasons are all fun and games until you realize you have no idea how to dress for the weather. Spring is only about a week away, but the weather hasn't quite gotten the memo yet so we still kind of have to dress for winter, but mentally winter ended on March 1st. I'm not going to lie, I didn't get quite as much use out of the impressive winter coat collection I curated this past fall/winter and I'm pretty bummed about it. On the flip side, there's always next year and I'm very much ready for lighter layers and outside fun. That being said, the best I can do during this confusing time is try to incorporate some spring pieces into my looks, while still trying to stay warm.

I can already tell this denim jacket is going to be my absolute go-to staple piece this spring. Obviously, denim jackets have been a staple wardrobe item for about 100 years (I'm guessing), but for whatever reason I feel extra excited about them this year. I bought this one recently from a small brand I found on Instagram. Though I already own a couple other denim jackets and probably didn't need another, I saw this one and loved the shape of it and how naturally oversized it was. I immediately thought about styling it with a pair of loose fit trousers and thus, this look was born. I was going for a casual, but office appropriate vibe for my corporate ladies. I threw on this fluffy colorful scarf for an added layer of warmth and fun! All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
