Bye Winter

Hi friends! Welcome back! I decided that this post is going to be my official last winter look post. We're definitely not done with winter weather here in Jersey so I can't put the coats away in real life just yet, but I'm excited to start styling some transitional looks for the warmer months to come. I'm also excited for color and lots of it! I always talk about how excited I am to wear color in the spring/summer and then proceed to wear nothing but pink because I'm too scared to stray too far from my comfort zone. Enough of that! One of the biggest trends of this upcoming season is bright saturated colors and I intend to take full advantage. Pink will always have my heart so you'll definitely see a lot more of that but I'm ready to add a couple more funky colors to my wardrobe as well.

Speaking of trends, another big one right now is striped shirts, which I've always loved, specifically, black/navy and white horizontal striped shirts. They're timeless and effortless and a fun way to spruce up a pair of jeans. We had some errands to run last Saturday and while I usually just throw on sweats or leggings when I'm running errands, I decided to put on some real clothes for a change. I threw this look together in 5 minutes with no intention of taking pictures but I loved how it turned out and I decided I had to document it. It was giving me "cool mom on-the-go" which is one of my favorite looks. Also, I just feel the need to point out that if you guys haven't noticed, these jeans are my most worn jeans ever and if you haven't gotten a pair yet, I suggest you do so immediately. I've had these for probably 4 years or so and they are just the best fit of any jeans I have ever owned. They are 100% worth the investment. All outfit details are listed below! Until next time, tootles sugar plums!
