Hi friends! Welcome back! And just like that I've retreated back to my comfort zone. Wearing a dress was fun for a day, but denim will always have my heart. As important as it is to try new things and take risks (in life and in fashion), it's even more important to stay true to yourself. I know I've written about this a million times at this point but I just feel the need to remind you guys every now and then. Trends are fun, dressing up is fun, but nothing beats the feeling of being your true authentic self. A major part of my life revolves around fashion and I don't want to waste it trying to "keep up." I get down on myself sometimes because my style is pretty basic so I feel like I end up creating different versions of the same outfit. I never want to bore you guys, but I also don't want to create looks that I would never actually wear in real life for the sake of being interesting. What's actually interesting to me is how many ways you can style the same type of outfit and have it look different every time. Not to toot my own horn, but I feel like I'm sort of mastering that and I'm darn proud of it.
So all of a sudden it turned into summer in New Jersey and I'm loving it (for now). Throughout the summer months, I am 100% a shorts and t-shirt/tank top type of girl. I can't bear wearing anything more. If I can find a cute, everyday breezy dress then you might catch me in one of those here and there as well. As you all noticed, I went through a serious baseball cap phase this past fall/winter and that's not changing this summer either. The only difference is that I'll be swapping out my jeans for denim shorts instead. For this look I went with a graphic tee and my new favorite cap & sneakers. Weirdly, this is one of my favorite outfits I've worn in a while. Nothing beats comfy and cute. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo
