Always A Classic
Hi friends! Welcome back! For this week's outfit I decided to go for one of my favorite outfits of all time. In my opinion, a blazer with jeans is the casual equivalent to the lbd. It is a classic pair that's always there to save the day. I promise you, if you're ever in a position where you have somewhere to go and have no idea what to wear, this combo will never fail you. I strongly believe that you can never have enough blazers or jeans. For this look, I went with a loose fitting black blazer paired with light wash denim. I personally have never been one for super structured blazers. I want it oversized to the point where I could wear it as a dress if I really wanted to. This blazer is one of my favorites for that reason. Also, while we're on the topic of personal preferences in clothes, it's light wash jeans over everything for me. Sometimes I get a little worried about posting too many outfits wearing jeans with the same wash. Then I remember this blog is about what I love and what I love are items that I can wear 100 different ways.
We had one of those weird 72 degree days last weekend. Really, what even is 72 degrees? Nobody knows how to dress for that. It needs to either be hot enough for shorts and a t-shirt or cold enough to layer and that's it. As I've mentioned in the last five blog posts, I am mentally in full blown layering mode. It has to be about 50 degrees for the kind of layering I want to do to make sense and unfortunately we're just not there yet. To accommodate mother nature's moodiness I decided to create a look that actually does make sense for this weather. I styled this blazer and jeans look with a basic tank top bodysuit (for when the sun passes over you and you need to take your blazer off for four minutes of relief) and heeled sandals (because who knows what to put on your feet in 72 degrees? Not me that's for sure). All outfit links are listed below. Until next time sugar plums, tootles! Xoxo.
