Hi friends! Welcome back! Remember when I said I was going full force with the pink outfits this season? I meant it. I mean how anyone can possibly resist buying every single pink item of clothing is beyond me. Give me all the pinks in all the shades please! But seriously, after the rough year we all had last year, it makes my heart sing to see all of the bright fun colors everyone is wearing this summer. It's such a nice change from the same old neutrals we're so used to seeing. Don't get me wrong, your girl loves herself some neutral tones, but it's just really exciting to see some vibrancy for a change. I'll admit I'm still a little shy when it comes to venturing outside of my little pink world, but I am definitely looking forward to trying out some different bold colored looks in the upcoming weeks.
On another note, does anyone else find themselves "Instagram shopping" more than regular online shopping? I don't mean literally shopping on Instagram which is also a thing. What I mean is I realized that a big portion of the items I purchase are items that I've seen on influencers that I decided I need to have. If I see something someone has on that I love (and isn't tagged) I don't hesitate to send them a message asking where they got it from and what size they're wearing for reference. I used to be someone who would spend hours scrolling through the "new in" sections of my favorite online clothing sites, but I'm at a place where I just feel like I no longer have the time or patience to do that. Instead, I gain inspo from some of the girls I come across on "the gram" and I'll either buy the exact item they're wearing or I'll do my own research on similar items and create my own spin on the looks I like. The best is when I see an outfit I love and remember I already have items in my own closet that I can use to recreate a similar look. In this case, it was a combination of both. I saw this shirt on one of my favorite influencers and within 1 minute and 30 seconds I clicked "check out" because wow! The color, the fit, the quality. A thousand times YES! Then, I recreated the look with a similar pair of pants that I already own and finished it off with a basic little cropped tank and an incredibly uncomfortable, but super cute pair of heeled sandals. If you're ever in a fashion rut, my advice is to follow some fashion girls on social media. 9 times out of 10 you will start to feel inspired again. The downside is your bank account might side-eye you for it, but that's a price I'm willing to pay. Haha get it? Wow I'm embarrassing and this was a long one. I'm sorry.
All outfit details are listed below. Also, I'm going to start adding the sizes I'm wearing for the items that are sill available because I know it's helpful for me when other bloggers do that. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
