A Hint of Cranberry
Hi friends! Welcome back! I feel like, as fashion girls, every season there's a new trending color (or colors) that we can't stop wearing. This season, for me, those colors have been brown (obviously) and, more recently, red/burgundy/cranberry. Of all of the colors out there, red has always been one of those taboo colors for me when it comes to clothes. I never disliked the color itself but, on me, I just always felt a little ridiculous in it (not including red lipstick, which I have always loved). Lately, since one of the hottest colors of the season is red, it has been impossible to avoid. I've seen so many gorgeous outfits featuring pops of red, which has made me want to try this bold color out for myself.
Since I'm new to the world of red, I thought I would start with a more muted shade, and one I happen to be obsessed with right now, which is burgundy. I saw another creator pair a charcoal grey outfit with a pair of burgundy heels and I fell in love with the colors together so I knew I needed to create a look of my own. I got these heels on sale from Nine West. If you remember the silver heels I've been wearing to death since last spring, these are the same shoes, but in a gorgeous deep cranberry red. It's always nice when something you love comes in multiple colors. I styled them with a charcoal sweater and washed black jeans. To me, this is such a great winter color combo and the perfect simple, chic dinner look. As always, all outfit details (and similar options) are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
