A Farewell To Summer

Hi friends! Welcome back! Unfortunately for all of you who aren't ready to let summer go just yet, I have sad news. This will be my last summer post of the year. Starting next week, we're getting right into fall fashion. I may have a bit of a surprise post coming later this week as well so stay tuned for that. This time of year is a struggle because it is still 90 degrees everyday and probably will be for the foreseeable future which makes dressing for fall a little tricky. Full transparency, I'm very much a homebody so a lot of the outfits you see here are looks that I put together strictly for the sake of this blog. Most times, as soon as we're done shooting, I go right back home and change into sweats. That being said, if I have to photograph a blazer look in extreme heat then so be it because the reality is I most likely won't be in it for long. It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it.

For my final look of the summer, since Labor Day is around the corner, I wanted to wear something that said, "I'm spending Labor Day on a boat in The Hamptons." I'm not doing that, but I had a random vision so I had to execute it. You know how it goes. These days, I try to shop a little more intentionally, but I randomly spotted this top in Target and thought it was really cute and for the price, there was no reason for me not to get it, and by "me" I mean my husband. Love you honey! Anyway, I had no idea how I would style it, but I figured it would look cute tucked into jeans or shorts which is exactly how I styled it here. I threw a sweater over my shoulders, because it tends to get chilly on boats as the sun goes down, and my beloved Gucci mules (a little less practical for a boat, but they worked with the look so I went with it). This outfit could also be cute for a barbecue. I hope this gives you all a little inspo when you're putting together your labor day looks. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
