A Creature of Habit

Hi friends! Welcome back! I have to be honest with you guys, this blog post almost didn’t happen. I got home about an hour ago from a little weekend getaway in Boston and I feel like I’m currently functioning on about 2.5 brain cells. If you live in the Tri-State area or anywhere on the East Coast, I’m sure you experienced some form of a hurricane/tropical storm last weekend. We planned on leaving Boston on Sunday but the storm had other plans so we decided to extend our trip until Monday. We did a lot of exploring, ate amazing seafood, and just had an all around great time!

It’s been a while since I posted my typical “soccer mom chic” look and with all the walking around we did, I thought this was a good opportunity to bring her back. As I’ve mentioned before, I am very into this oversized dad shirt trend, although for me it’s not a trend at all. You guys know how much I live for oversized shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, & jackets. If I can’t fit 2 of me in it, I’m not interested. This will never change. I am, however, loving color block versions of the dad shirt and I plan on taking this trend into the fall with me. I am a big fan of button downs to just throw on over a tank top, bodysuit, or t-shirt. I think having multiple colors (that complement each other) on one shirt is a fun way to elevate an otherwise super casual look. I threw on a matching baseball cap with my trusty pink mini purse and I felt like the comfiest most stylish gal in Boston! All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! XOXO.
