Hi friends! Welcome back! It is officially springtime! The weather has been so beautiful these last couple of weeks. I hope I'm not jinxing things by saying this but it seems like we're fully into spring weather *knocks on wood*. I'm so excited to see that bold colors are one of the biggest trends of the season. I've always enjoyed experimenting with more colorful looks during the spring/summer months. Neutral colors will forever hold a special place in my heart, but it's fun to switch things up a bit every now and then. One of the most common colors that I am seeing literally everywhere is bubblegum pink and I have no complaints about it at all. I am a true girly-girl at heart and pink has been my favorite color my entire life. If it were socially acceptable to wear everything in pink, I probably would. Honestly, of all the trends that have come and gone over the years, I feel like this one in particular was made for me.

I know you guys are dying to hear my melodramatic story about this beautiful blazer and how my life was incomplete until I got it so here it goes. My life was incomplete until I got this blazer. Just kidding. You know what, no I'm not. This is the real me guys. My clothes are like my children and I feel a very very deep emotional connection to them. Some more than others. This blazer is one of them. Okay seriously, I first spotted this blazer last spring, but I didn't feel like spending the money on it, especially because the shipping cost was a doozy. Fast forward to a year later and I still found myself drooling over the same blazer. Unfortunately I was met with the same shipping cost problem so I decided to search for dupes. Nothing was giving me what this blazer was giving me so my dear sweet love, Jason, took pity on me and bought it for me. Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what? I went with a tank top, jeans and sandals look for a simple Easter weekend look. Expect to see this blazer styled several different ways throughout the remainder of the spring. I know it's taboo to wear something so eye-catching multiple times, but I have no shame. All outfit details are listed below as always. Until next time, tootles sugar plums. Xoxo

Hi friends! Welcome back! I love when cute outfits happen accidentally. This was one of those looks that was supposed to be something else completely and just ended up not working out so I had to improvise last minute. I have a bad habit of creating outfits in my head, assuming they'll work out when I put them on, and then being disappointed when they don't. This happens a lot for me because, well honestly, I'm just too lazy to try on a bunch of outfits ahead of time. I mentally create one outfit and then just hope for the best when it's shoot day. Sometimes the outfits end up coming out exactly how I envisioned, but sometimes they REALLY do not. I originally planned on wearing a very oversized graphic tee with these jeans but when I put them on together it was a disaster. I thought maybe it would be a fun grungy look with the big tee and the wide leg jeans but no. Just no. I couldn't have looked more sloppy if I tried. So there I was again, in the same boat I find myself over and over. Stressed out and trying to figure out how to fix this mess quickly now that it's the day of shooting and I planned on leaving my house in 10 minutes.

I looked over at the pile of new clothes that has been accumulating over the last few months (because I have no idea where I'm planning on putting them) and there it was. My prayers were answered. This top was a random purchase that I saw on an Instagram ad. I planned on wearing it around the house but it just seemed to be calling my name this day. I put it on (not expecting much) and it ended up being perfect! I'm literally laughing to myself as I'm typing because of how dramatic and ridiculous this story is. Anyway, thankfully this crop top worked out because who knows how long it would have taken me to come up with a new look otherwise. The moral of the story is to do better than me and try on your outfits beforehand. For whatever reason I refuse to learn my lesson, but that doesn't have to be you. It'll save you the unnecessary stress of scrambling for a new outfit last minute. In this case it worked out, but a lot of times it doesn't and then you're left wearing something you hate. It's not worth it. Trust me. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.

Hi friends! Welcome back! So for this week's post we’re going to chat about what has become a coveted trend, especially during this pandemic. The athleisure look is one of my personal favorites because it encompasses both comfort and chic-ness. There’s nothing better than looking stylish without having to sacrifice being comfortable and that’s exactly what this trend is about. The idea is that you can take this look from the gym to the office then to dinner without anyone questioning what you have on.

As you guys know I live for a cute sweat set. One of my favorite ways to style an athleisure look is to throw on a chic trench coat over a matching set. I usually opt for high socks and sneakers or low boots to finish it off, but if you’re really feeling daring you can add a heeled bootie as well. For today’s look I went for more of a gym to business meeting vibe. Guys, seriously, how amazing are oversized blazers? They literally make almost every outfit 10 times more stylish. Without the blazer, this look is just a t-shirt and a pair of leggings. How boring, right? But with the blazer you get a completely different look. A head turning look. A look that can get you from that tough yoga class to that important meeting without looking disheveled. I realize most of us might want to take a shower first because...well...body odor, but you get the idea. All outfit details are listed below. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
