Welcome back friends! No, your eyes are not deceiving you. I am wearing pants that are not jeans. It's a rare sight indeed, but sometimes I feel adventurous. I know I'm always ranting and raving about my love for jeans but I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned my weariness towards pants that aren't denim. Much like everyone else in the world, I have certain articles of clothing that I think I look great in and some that make me feel "blah". No, I could not come up with a better word than that. For some reason, in my adult life, I just haven't felt confident in anything other than jeans/shorts. I've become a strange in-between size that makes it hard for me to find pants/skirts that fit me the way I want them to. Every now and then, however, I come across a pair of not-so-typical bottoms that make my heart sing. These linen trousers are the perfect example.
I actually got these babies from Mango a few years ago. I had never ordered pants from Mango before so I wasn't sure how their sizing worked. I checked the size guide of course but size guides are literally never accurate when it comes to my size in particular. Maybe it's just me. I usually rely on reviews to make sizing decisions but unfortunately a lot of stores don't offer reviews. Anyway, I saw them on the model and absolutely needed them so I took the risk and ordered the size I thought I would be. They fit perfectly and have been my go-to summer pants ever since.
