A Metallic Pop

whatjamloves

Hi friends! Welcome back! Here's a sight you don't see too often. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Here I am, wearing all black. I'm not sure if you guys have noticed, but I don't tend to wear much black (aside from blazers & coats) and I almost NEVER wear all black. I consider myself a mildly colorful girl when it comes to my outfit choices. I say mildly because, while I love seeing other people wearing a million different bold colors, my personal color choices consist of mainly pink and orange. I just feel like those are my colors, you know? I feel the most like me when I'm wearing even a tiny pop of color. Even when it comes to neutrals, I tend to lean towards lighter colors like beiges and tans. It took everything in me not to put on red lipstick for this look because the lack of color was stressing me out, but I was committed to avoiding any color whatsoever. It was a personal challenge but, also, I realized I may have some readers who feel more themselves in a full black outfit and I have been absolutely no help in that department. So, here we are!

All right, I'm aware that I still cheated a little bit by adding some pops of metallic, but cut a girl some slack. I do still want to be true to myself a tiny bit. I've seen this black and metallic combo on a few fashion girlies and loved it, so I decided I would try it out for myself. I don't ever want to give you outfit inspiration if it isn't something that I would actually wear myself. This 100% is. Plus, I figure you can always swap out the silver for black if you really wanted a head to toe black look. I went for more of an easy, no fuss date night vibe when I put this together, but if you wanted to go for a more casual look, you could wear sneakers or boots instead of heels. I'm sure this goes without saying, but I would also maybe ditch the flashy bag as well if you're going casual. Honestly, even though I don't find myself typically reaching for all black pieces, I did feel very chic in this look and I would definitely wear it again.
